Heroin Addiction

Being a heroin addict isn’t something that can be predicted. If this drug gets a hold of you, it isn’t easy to let go, and without the right help, you are going to keep going down until you are so far down that a bright future doesn’t seem possible. The long term side effects of heroin are scary, some of them include Tuberculosis, Pneumonia, Liver disease, Kidney disease, Collapsed Veins, and much more. If you have taken heroin before, you will know the signs of withdrawals, and the signs of when you know you have a problem, and that is when you desperately need to contact a rehab center.

Even if you think you don’t have a problem yet, by going to a rehabilitation centre, you will be able to kick the habit before it gets too bad, because once you hit rock bottom of drug abuse, it isn’t easy making your way up again and with a heroin addiction it is even worse. Drug abuse can affect anyone of any age, don’t think that someone might be too old or too young to be addicted to heroin, you will be surprised at some of the addicts. It is not in South Africa alone either, but all countries and many cities have drug problems, and it isn’t easy getting rid of it.

Getting the help you need is easy, but having the determination and the will to do it is the difficult part. Only a brave drug user who wants to get better, who wants the help will go to rehab. They need all the support they can get from family and friends; they need to be told that they can do it. South Africa has a problem when it comes to drugs, and even though Heroin addiction and its effects are some of the most dangerous for a user, thousands of people are still addicted.
